THE MINI GP TALENT CUP
Has been created through a collaboration between the Owner of the British Mini Bike championship Alan Lord and TT / BSB Legend and all round nice guy Peter Hickman. Both share a passion for helping develop and promote young road racing talent in the UK.
The Mini GP Talent Cup has been designed to allow junior riders to compete and hone their riding skills in a controlled and safety focused environment. The class regulations have been designed to promote fair and level racing throughout all the classes.
A proportion of the Entry fee is used to fund a scholarship scheme which culminates in a funded ride for the Winner of the Mini GP 190/70 class in their final year, in the BSB Junior Super Sport with class winning Team Symcirrus Motorsport.
Riders from as young as 6 years old can attend the Rider Development Academy days held throughout the year at various tracks around the country, offering tuition on and off the track from BSB Riders and BMB Trainers.
For all Junior Riders from 7 to 14 years of age (6 year olds can attend the Academy but are not allowed to race in the Mini GP Talent Cup until the year of their 7th Birthday) can attend the Academy for the cost of the track day fee (usually between £40 & £55 depending on the track).
Riders will receive Instruction from BSB Riders, BMB Trainers and seasoned members of the Motorcycle media on and off the track encompassing safety procedures, race craft & media training.
